A caring conscience, complimented by drive, motivation and determination! Laurie Pringle is a former Sales, Marketing and Regional Manager within the Educational Publishing and Educational Technology industries. Laurie’s perseverance, tenacity and strategic approach to alliance building and key relationships, allowed her to exceed revenues and acquisition targets throughout her career.
Laurie’s consistent 9 year record of achievement resulted in her appointment to the first Pearson Education Leadership council and each subsequent council that followed. As a work-study student with the Centre for Feminist Research at York University, Laurie was able to recover a troubled campaign to find and recruit relevant youth activists to attend the “Womens Rights are Human Rights: Focus on Youth” conference. After only 4 weeks, Laurie’s research and persuasion skills allowed the conference to boast more than 40 informed, active and remarkable youth – including a young and not yet well known, Irshad Manji.
Laurie is highly enthusiastic and passionate about social justice, environmental issues and animal welfare. If you can’t find her on the bike-trails along Toronto’s West-End, you are likely to find her dancing on the ceiling upon the successful completion of a new and interesting learning experience.
life, philanthropy, animal welfare, hiking, biking, environment, people, and good old fashioned fun!
